We adopted Sadie from Home at Last Dog Rescue on Valentine's Day 2014 when she was 8 months old. We walked into the pet store that day WITH Mutley because we wanted to sign up to be a foster home for pups. Instead we adopted her right away and I began volunteering for HAL shortly after.
That fall was our first ever 5K and Fall fest. It's the event that made me fall in love with the people as well as the dogs. It's so incredible to get there in the dark and set up with a bunch of NOT morning people who are all there for the same cause. It's this crazy, contagious excitement for what's being prepared. All of your hard work will now pay off - especially if it's nice out.
